Social Theatre for Youth: A Community Play(s)

Social Theatre for Youth: A Community Play(s) is a project that, through the implementation of a training course on social community theatre followed by the co-creation of events of community animation in the 7 countries involved in this partnership, created a model intervention strategy for open and inclusive communities.
During the project the participants, guided by the pool of trainers and supported by their organisations, experimented with a methodology able to firmly connect social community theatre and international community work.

From a non-formal education point of view, the project aimed to develop participants’ key competences, enabling them to share them and making sure that they can be transferred. From a cultural point of view, the group of participants was proposed artistic practices inspired by social community theatre, for the creation of new community dramaturgies. From an ethnographic point of view, the participants carried out practical actions of knowledge of the island of Procida and its inhabitants.
